Associate, Accounting
About the role
An Accounting Associate will perform multiple types of reconciliations, settlement processes, and general ledger work to support the dynamic lines of business at Capital One. You will work with a superior team to learn the accounting processes and procedures at Capital One, and have the opportunity to grow your responsibilities in analysis and project work with your team.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and review journal entries and reconciliations for review with management
- Prepare monthly and quarterly reports for review with management
- Research and resolve data issues as they arise
- Identify and drive process improvements
- Participate in challenging project initiatives with the team
- Provide business requirements for data collection and sourcing, and provide compliance efforts to outside auditors
- Perform ad hoc requests
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree, or military experience
- At least 1 year of experience in public or corporate accounting
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting preferred
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred
- 2+ years of experience in public, corporate accounting, audit or finance preferred
- 1+ year of experience with Google Office or Microsoft Office products, or a combination preferred
Pay
Salaries for this role are listed below, by location:
- Mclean, VA: $81,700 - $93,300 for Associate, Accounting
- Richmond, VA: $74,200 - $84,700 for Associate, Accounting
- Wilmington, DE: $74,200 - $84,700 for Associate, Accounting
