Associate Accountant

About the role

We are seeking an Associate Accountant to support our business. Leggett & Platt is a global diversified manufacturing company that designs, manufactures, and sells a variety of products for various industries. The Associate Accountant will play a crucial role in coordinating and analyzing financial information for multiple domestic and international operating facilities.

Responsibilities

• Coordination and analysis of financial information for a specified number of domestic and international operating facilities
• Day-to-day contact with division accounting staff, operating managers and other corporate departments
• Analysis and reconciliation of Balance Sheet and P&L accounts
• Review of accounting internal controls
• Assisting internal and external auditors with analysis and reconciliations of accounts
• Supporting the preparation of the consolidated financial statements and external reporting

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance-related field (with a minimum of 9 hours of accounting)
• Good interpersonal skills
• Solid understanding of accounting and strong communication abilities (both written and verbal)
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work
• Ability to work in a team-based environment
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Strong computer skills with demonstrated proficiency in Excel

Qualifications

• CMA and/or CPA designation
• Master’s degree in accounting or business administration
• Cumulative 3.30 GPA and 3.5 GPA in major
• Experience with Hyperion Financial Management and/or Microsoft D365
• Experience in a manufacturing environment
