Associate Accountant
About the role
We are seeking an Associate Accountant to support our business. Leggett & Platt is a global diversified manufacturing company that designs, manufactures, and sells a variety of products for various industries. Our mission is to enhance lives through quality products and services. The Associate Accountant will play a crucial role in coordinating and analyzing financial information for multiple domestic and international operating facilities.
Responsibilities
- Coordination and analysis of financial information for a specified number of domestic and international operating facilities
- Day-to-day contact with division accounting staff, operating managers and other corporate departments
- Analysis and reconciliation of Balance Sheet and P&L accounts
- Review of accounting internal controls
- Assisting internal and external auditors with analysis and reconciliations of accounts
- Supporting the preparation of the consolidated financial statements and external reporting
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance-related field (with a minimum of 9 hours of accounting)
- Good interpersonal skills
- Solid understanding of accounting and strong communication abilities (both written and verbal)
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work
- Ability to work in a team-based environment
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Strong computer skills with demonstrated proficiency in Excel
Qualifications
- CMA and/or CPA designation
- Master’s degree in accounting or business administration
- Cumulative 3.30 GPA and 3.5 GPA in major
- Experience with Hyperion Financial Management and/or Microsoft D365
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
