Associate Account Manager

About the Role
As an Associate Account Manager, you'll own a portfolio of growing customer accounts, building the relationship, service, and sustainability-advising skills that are core to every Account Manager at EcoEnclose. You'll report to our VP of Account Management, and work closely with senior AMs as you build toward managing larger, more complex accounts. This role is ideal for someone early in their account management or customer success career who wants hands-on mentorship, real ownership from day one, and a clear path to grow within a fast-growing, mission-driven company.
Why This Role
On-Target total compensation of $70,000–$85,000 (base $55,000 + commission and bonuses), with a defined growth path into an Account Manager role as your book of business and track record grow.
Responsibilities
- Account Growth & Retention
- Manage and grow a portfolio of existing customer accounts (~$1M–$2M book of business).
- Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities within your accounts.
- Support account plans focused on account growth and retention, in partnership with senior AMs.
- Customer Engagement & Relationship Building
- Build strong, trust-based relationships with customer stakeholders.
- Understand customers' sustainability goals and help align them with EcoEnclose solutions.
- Represent the voice of the customer internally at EcoEnclose.
- Operational Excellence
- Ensure timely and accurate execution of orders, quoting, and follow-up.
- Maintain up-to-date account records and activity in CRM systems.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams (Operations, Creative, Assurance) to deliver seamless service.
- Sustainability Advising
- Understand customers' purchasing cadence and help manage ordering schedules.
- Support annual business reviews and help customers plan for new product launches.
- Provide accurate sustainability reporting data.
What Success Looks Like in Year One
- Manage a $1M–$2M book of business with top-tier service across your portfolio.
- Grow existing accounts 20%+ year over year through SKU expansion and wallet share growth.
- Retain 90%+ of your accounts after their first year with you.
- Deliver new SKU projects and reorders on time and error-free.
- Build the account management fundamentals needed to take on a larger portfolio.
Qualifications
- 1–3 years of experience in account management, customer success, sales, or a related B2B/customer-facing role (or equivalent experience).
- Strong organizational skills and comfort managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Confident written and verbal communication skills.
- A growth mindset and genuine interest in sustainability and helping brands make more environmentally conscious choices.
- Comfort learning CRM and project management tools.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary of $55,000, with target total compensation of $70,000–$85,000 including commission.
