About the role
The Associate Account Executive supports new business sales executives or existing business account executives by providing necessary assistance in various sales activities.
Responsibilities
- Supports 2-3 sales executives in new and/or existing business sales activities, including developing benefit comparisons and identifying appropriate plan variations.
- Analyzes case information for presale quote requests and prepares submissions to Underwriting for new business opportunities.
- Manages account setup and renewal processes for products within Sales Automation tools for both new and existing business accounts.
- Acts as the primary point of contact for internal and external HRA and HSA contacts, ensuring accurate and timely paperwork and set-up.
- Collaborates with brokers and internal contacts to resolve customer issues and represent Harvard Pilgrim at enrollment fairs.
- Prepares for and attends implementation/renewal meetings, both internally and with clients/brokers, and follows up on these meetings.
- Qualifies leads following marketing standards, obtaining additional information from brokers to determine the readiness of leads for sales.
- Drafts and submits RFPs under the guidance of Sales/Account Executives, ensuring the accuracy and compliance of proposals with client requirements.
- Assists in the preparation of presentation materials for finalist meetings, collaborating with Sales/Account Executives to identify relevant content.
- Performs out-of-the-box thinking, collaborates with others, and contributes to the success of the team daily.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in finance or healthcare benefits industry.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field, with a Master’s degree preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Resilient, collaborative, flexible, and innovative personality.
Working Conditions and Additional Requirements
- Must be able to work under normal office conditions and work from home as required.
- May require simultaneous use of a telephone/headset and PC/keyboard and sitting for extended durations.
- May be required to work additional hours beyond standard work schedule.
Pay and Benefits
The salary range for this position is $65,178.94 - $97,768.40 annually, with a commission range of $12,000.00 - $12,000.00.
