Associate Account Executive

About the role

Certified EO is hiring an Associate Account Executive to close new business with employee-owned companies and help grow our network of 700+ members. We work directly with employee-owned businesses to help them unlock the competitive advantages of employee ownership. This is a fully remote, inside sales role. You'll own the full cycle from discovery through close, working a mix of inbound qualified leads and self-sourced outbound, with support on tailored demos.

Responsibilities

• Own a pipeline of inbound qualified leads and self-sourced outbound opportunities, working VP and C-level decision-makers at small and mid-sized businesses.
• Run high-quality discovery calls and tailored demos that connect Certified EO's services to each prospect's recruitment, education, and engagement goals.
• Build pipeline through outbound prospecting — cold calling, email, and LinkedIn.
• Track activity, pipeline, and opportunities cleanly in HubSpot; report on progress against quota.
• Represent Certified EO at industry events and conferences each year to build relationships and raise awareness. Travel required approximately four times per year (10-15 days total).

Requirements

• 1+ years of full-cycle sales experience carrying a quota, ideally B2B or a membership-based organization.
• Track record of consistently hitting or exceeding quota.
• Comfort engaging with owners, founders, and executives at SMBs.
• Strong consultative selling and closing skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Proficient with HubSpot or similar CRMs, plus sales engagement tools (Reply, Outreach, Salesloft, etc.). Quick to pick up new tools.
• Proactive self-starter who thrives in a nimble, remote environment.
• Genuine interest in employee ownership and its impact on workers and businesses.

Qualifications

• Nice to have - Familiarity with employee ownership models (ESOPs, EOTs).
