About the role
The Associate Manager Functional Shelf role independently leads analytical projects or workstreams that span multiple teams or functions. It applies intermediate practical expertise to analyze complex datasets, interpret market, consumer, and shopper trends, and translate findings into clear recommendations. The role shapes how stakeholders understand performance drivers, tradeoffs, and opportunities, balancing speed, accuracy, and interpretability while operating with limited supervision.
Responsibilities
- Lead Analytics Workstreams That Span Multiple Teams: Scope, plan, and execute analyses requiring input from different functions or data sources. Coordinate requirements, timelines, and outputs to keep workstreams aligned and on track, improving cross-functional decision-making.
- Design and Enhance Dashboards for Broader Business Use: Create and refine dashboards serving multiple stakeholder groups. Select appropriate visualizations, build flexible filtering, and ensure definitions are aligned across teams to standardize performance views.
- Interpret Complex Data Sets and Provide Clear Recommendations: Apply statistical and analytical techniques to identify relationships, drivers, and opportunities in consumer, shopper, and market data. Synthesize findings into concise narratives with actionable implications.
- Collaborate Across Functions to Align on KPIs and Definitions: Work with partners to harmonize key metrics, business rules, and reporting standards. Facilitate discussions to resolve discrepancies and document agreed definitions for accurate performance comparisons.
- Support Continuous Improvement of Data and Analytics Capabilities: Identify enhancements to data structures, reporting tools, or analytical methods. Pilot improvements, gather feedback, and share results to evolve the organization’s analytics maturity.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of practical experience in consumer insights, market research, data analysis, or related fields within a business context.
- Strong proficiency with data visualization tools, business intelligence platforms, and advanced analytical techniques.
- Excellent communication skills for articulating complex insights clearly and persuasively.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and managing multifaceted projects.
Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree is essential, preferably in Consumer Research, Market Research, Quantitative Analysis, Economics, Psychology, Sociology, Marketing, Management, or a related discipline.
