Responsibilities
- Support engineering teams under general supervision in utility-scale renewable energy projects.
- Perform technical civil engineering design tasks, including preparing and modifying site plans, grading designs, and utility layouts.
- Use advanced design tools such as Autodesk Civil 3D, PVcase, and PVFarm to develop project deliverables.
- Create, update, and maintain technical documentation, drawings, and project reports.
- Assist in material quantity estimates and dimensional checks to support project accuracy.
- Cook up with other project groups to minimize errors and interferences in deliverables.
- Support continuous improvement by identifying and applying new technologies and processes.
- Mentor junior engineering technicians and support internal client needs with an understanding of external priorities.
Requirements
- Diploma or Certificate required; Associate Degree in Drafting or Engineering Design Related Technology preferred.
- Typically a minimum of 2 years related work experience.
- Experience with Civil 3D grading is required.
- Experience with solar projects, PVcase, and PV Farm software is preferred but not required.
- Ability to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (background check, drug screen, motor vehicle records search).
