About the role
The Associate Director oversees nursing care on a unit under the direction of the Director of Nursing. They are responsible for maintaining high standards of service and nursing practice, developing policies and procedures to ensure quality patient care, managing staffing and budgets, and leading staff in achieving excellence.
Responsibilities
- Maintain standards of service excellence and nursing practice
- Develop evidenced-based policies, procedures, and work processes for quality patient care
- Supervise, evaluate, guide, and counsel nursing staff
- Staffing, budget, control of expenses, continuing development and education of staff, performance improvement, and human resource management
- Works in a leadership team model to provide guidance and leadership to staff
Requirements
- National certification in Nursing or Healthcare related specialty preferred
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Required
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required
- Master's Degree in Nursing or Healthcare related field preferred or combination of relevant education and experience may be considered in lieu of degree
- 2 years experience as a RN in a clinical specialty area required
- 1 year experience in a clinical leadership role preferred
Qualifications
- Basic Life Support Required
- Pennsylvania Registered Nurse License Required
- Multi-State Compact RN License Required
