About the role
The Assistive Technology Partnership (ATP) supports families across Nebraska through “Technology with a Purpose.” This position focuses on home or vehicle modifications that help people with disabilities gain greater independence.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with a diverse group of professionals, vendors, contractors, families, and individuals to develop creative, functional solutions that make a real impact.
- Work independently and enjoy problem-solving.
- Provide technical assistance to employers, educators, professionals, and family members of people with disabilities regarding assistive devices.
- Document and manage case information, develop plans and specifications for projects, complete evaluation reports, and communicate case progress.
- Maintain regular & reliable attendance, possess a valid driver’s license, and work in a variety of settings.
Requirements / Qualifications
- Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in a related field and three years of experience related to the essential functions of the position.
- Preferred Qualifications: Education in architecture, drafting, construction, or occupational therapy and physical therapy related fields. Experience providing home-related assistive technology and support to people with disabilities and their families, and designing environmental modifications and adaptive devices.

Pay
This rate is based upon available budget funds; any offer will be made at this rate. Pay Grade 7: $30.979/hour
Schedule
This position requires approximately 35% of work time spent in an office environment; the remaining 65% is spent traveling or working in alternative sites as such as meetings and conferences throughout the community. There is also approximately two days of overnight travel per year.
