Assistive Technology Professional (ATP) (Full-Time)
About the role
This role provides comprehensive and family-centered adaptive equipment services including assessments, community marketing, fabrication, assembly, repairs, and education.
Responsibilities
- Interact in a positive and professional manner in all dealings with clients, families, and co-workers by providing reliable and consistent customer service.
- Performs client adaptive equipment assessments in collaboration with the care team, and independently to determine the best possible adaptive equipment solution based on the client’s needs and resources.
- Provides appropriate referrals, recommendations, and/or follow-up with each client/family.
- Completes all documentation according to ChildServe regulations and third-party regulatory standards.
- Maintains knowledge of current and new products and equipment used on the job.
- Completes adaptive equipment fabrication, assembly, maintenance, and repair based on the needs and strengths determined in the assessment.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 2 years of experience in the adaptive equipment field or commensurate experience in one or more of the following areas: manual and power wheelchair manufacturing, assembly, repair and/or seating and positioning products design and manufacturing.
- Certification as an Assistive Technology Professional (ATP) or ability to obtain certification within the first year of employment.
- Ability to communicate effectively in reading, writing and speaking the English language.
