About the role

The Assistive Technology Professional (ATP) at Numotion evaluates, recommends, and provides customized Complex Rehabilitation Technology (CRT) to meet the unique needs of clients. This role involves collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to develop individualized plans of care, manage procurement processes, and provide training and documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify clients' needs, functional limitations, and mobility goals.
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop individualized plans of care.
  • Recommend appropriate CRT equipment and associated interventions based on client's identified physical needs and mobility goals.
  • Manage/Facilitate efficient procurement processes from equipment specification through delivery.
  • Deliver and fit equipment, ensuring that functional goals established at the evaluation are met.
  • Provide thorough training and education to clients, families, and caregivers on the safe and effective use of recommended equipment.
  • Complete/maintain accurate and detailed documentation pertaining to client interactions in a timely manner.
  • Achieve and exceed annual sales goals and objectives as established at the beginning of each fiscal year.
  • Review and report on sales calls, outcomes, and opportunities.
  • Maintain all certifications and licenses, obtain all required continuing education annually.
  • Maintain eligibility status with various vendor systems as required.
  • Stay updated on funding requirements, product knowledge, and technological advancements within the Rehab Technology industry.
  • Develop and maintain new and existing relationships with various referral sources.
  • Utilize Numotion Leadership Principles to perform job with integrity, compliance, and values consistent with Numotion’s mission.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Valid Assistive Technology Professional (ATP) certification.
  • Demonstrate critical thinking, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills required to generate appropriate, individualized recommendations for CRT equipment and interventions.
  • Working knowledge of compliant billing processes for rehab/assistive technology equipment as necessary (e.g., Medicare, Medicaid, etc.).
  • Valid Drivers License.

Skills

  • Strong understanding of clinical conditions and extensive knowledge of rehabilitation equipment.
  • Previous experience in selling DME equipment.
  • Comprehensive understanding of rehabilitation equipment, including power wheelchairs, manual wheelchairs, seating systems, adaptive controls, and other assistive devices.
  • Working knowledge of compliant billing processes for rehab/assistive technology equipment as necessary (e.g., Medicare, Medicaid, etc.).
  • Thorough and competent seating/mobility, assistive technology, and rehab equipment evaluations.
