About the role

The Assistive Technology Professional (ATP) evaluates, recommends, and provides customized Complex Rehabilitation Technology (CRT) to meet the unique needs of clients. This role involves collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to develop individualized plans of care and ensuring appropriate equipment is provided to maximize independence and enhance quality of life.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify clients' needs, functional limitations, and mobility goals.
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, including physicians, therapists, clients, and caregivers to develop individualized plans of care.
  • Recommend appropriate CRT equipment and associated interventions based on client's identified physical needs and mobility goals.
  • Manage/Facilitate efficient procurement processes from equipment specification through delivery.
  • Deliver and fit equipment, assuring that functional goals established at the evaluation are met.
  • Provide thorough training and education to clients, families, and caregivers on the safe and effective use of recommended equipment.
  • Attain and apply clinical, technical, and interpersonal skills in a needs analysis of complex mobility issues for individuals with various disabilities.
  • Achieve and exceed annual sales goals and objectives as established at the beginning of each fiscal year.
  • Consistently review and report on sales calls, sales outcomes, and sales opportunities.
  • Maintain all certifications and licenses, obtain all required continuing education annually to assure no lapse in coverage.
  • Maintain eligibility status with various vendor systems as required to assure continuous access to facilities.
  • Keep abreast of funding requirements, learn the wide variety of products and manufacturers Numotion contracts with while utilizing and comprehending the technological advances within the Rehab Technology industry.
  • Develop and maintain new and existing relations with various referral sources.
  • Utilize Numotion Leadership Principles to perform job with integrity, compliance, and values consistent with Numotion’s mission.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Valid Assistive Technology Professional (ATP) certification.
  • Demonstrate critical thinking, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills required to generate appropriate, individualized recommendations for CRT equipment and interventions.
  • Working knowledge of compliant billing processes for rehab/assistive technology equipment as necessary (e.g., Medicare, Medicaid, etc.).
  • Valid Drivers License.

Preferred Competencies And Qualifications

  • Minimum one (1) year experience working with complex rehabilitation technology.
  • Previous experience in selling DME equipment.
  • Comprehensive understanding of various clinical conditions impacting mobility, such as spinal cord injury, cerebral palsy, multiple sclerosis, and stroke.
  • Extensive knowledge of rehabilitation equipment, including power wheelchairs, manual wheelchairs, seating systems, adaptive controls, and other assistive devices.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, responsibilities, and projects independently and effectively.
  • Working knowledge of compliant billing processes for rehab/assistive technology equipment as necessary (e.g., Medicare, Medicaid, etc.).
  • Comprehensive understanding of rehabilitation equipment, including power wheelchairs, manual wheelchairs, seating systems, adaptive controls, and other assistive devices.
  • Ability to perform thorough and competent seating/mobility, assistive technology, and rehab equipment evaluations.

Pay and Benefits

Pay Range: $45,000 to 70,000 base salary plus commission. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including skills, qualifications, experience and location.
