About the role

Hillcrest Silver Ridge is seeking a compassionate and dependable Personal Care Assistant / Medication Aide to join their team. Located in Bellevue, NE, this position offers full-time night shifts and every other weekend.

Responsibilities

  • Provide quality personal care and medication support based on each resident's individual needs and service plan.
  • Help residents with daily routines while creating a positive, safe, and respectful living environment.
  • Accurately document medication support and take vital signs as ordered.
  • Monitor and report changes in resident condition, needs, or concerns to nursing and incoming/outgoing shifts.
  • Absorb and guide residents to and from meals, ensuring they are accounted for.
  • Support health-maintenance activities under the direction of a licensed healthcare professional.
  • Understand and follow procedures for emergency medical services and resident emergency needs.
  • Assist with laundry of residents' personal clothing and linens.
  • Complete resident documentation in the electronic medical record as required.
  • Absorb and assist with scheduled resident activities and help create meaningful engagement opportunities.
  • Complete general assigned cleaning, including making beds, organizing resident spaces, removing trash, and maintaining a clean environment.
  • Build positive, professional relationships with residents, families, guests, and team members.

Qualifications

  • Active Nebraska 40-hour Medication Aide certification required.
  • Basic Life Support CPR certification required or willingness to obtain within 45 days of hire.
  • Caring and resident-centered approach to daily support and medication assistance.
  • Strong communication skills with residents, families, nurses, and team members.
  • Ability to observe changes in resident condition and communicate concerns promptly.
  • A calm, flexible, and professional approach in changing or stressful situations.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety, dignity, and quality care.
  • A dependable, team-oriented mindset and willingness to support community needs.
