Assistant Zoning Manager

About the role

Under the direction of the Zoning Manager, the Assistant Zoning Manager performs advanced professional, technical, and supervisory work administering and enforcing the City's Code of Ordinances, Land Development Regulations (LDR), and related land use requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversees complex and routine zoning applications, building permits, and business tax and licensing reviews
• Supervises Zoning Officers and Technicians
• Promotes efficient operations and quality customer service
• Provides technical guidance, interpreting regulations, resolving complex issues
• Conducts field inspections
• Coordinates with applicants, property owners, residents, and professionals
• Serves as liaison to advisory boards
• Presents at public meetings
• Completes special projects
• Serves as the City's Certified Floodplain Manager

• Experience Level: Mid I (1-4 years)
• Specialty: Land Use and Development Regulation and Zoning
