Assistant WWTP Superintendent
About the role
We are looking for a motivated and skilled professional to join our team as the next Assistant Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) Superintendent. You will play a key role in keeping our community running strong by overseeing operations of the facility to meet all regulatory requirements, inventory and maintain operating stocks of process chemicals and operating supplies, develop and maintain information for reports and records, and ensure all safety training and programs are implemented.
Responsibilities
- Oversee operations of the facility to meet all regulatory requirements
- Inventory and maintain operating stocks of process chemicals and operating supplies
- Develop and maintain information for reports and records
- Work to ensure all safety training and programs are implemented
- Maintain effective communication among staff
- Evaluate the work of assigned personnel
- Provide staff training in areas of treatment operations, equipment maintenance, and proper operation of plant equipment
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in wastewater treatment operations
- Experience with safety protocols and emergency response procedures
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
