Assistant Womens Track Coach

This coaching position is within New Hanover County Schools at New Hanover High School.

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated coach to lead and develop our athletic programs. The successful candidate will be responsible for coaching student-athletes, fostering teamwork, and promoting sportsmanship.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and conduct practice sessions.
• Develop game strategies and lead the team during competitions.
• Monitor and support the academic progress of student-athletes.
• Promote a positive and inclusive team culture.
• Ensure compliance with school and athletic association policies.
• Communicate effectively with athletes, parents, and school staff.

Requirements

• Previous coaching experience at the high school or higher level.
• Strong knowledge of the sport and its rules.
• Ability to motivate and inspire student-athletes.
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
• Commitment to the academic and personal development of students.
