The University of Oregon Intercollegiate Athletic Department's primary purpose is to provide a unique opportunity for student-athletes to be developed, tested, and encouraged to reach their maximum potential in every aspect of their lives. About the Role

The Assistant Women's Tennis Coach will provide coaching and administrative assistance to the Head Coach. This position is responsible for promoting the philosophy and objectives of the Intercollegiate Athletics Department, including adherence to all department policies and procedures, as well as the rules and regulations of the University of Oregon, Big Ten Conference, and the NCAA.

Responsibilities

• Provide coaching assistance to the Head Coach.
• Promote the philosophy and objectives of the Intercollegiate Athletics Department.
• Ensure adherence to department policies and procedures, as well as the rules and regulations of the University of Oregon, Big Ten Conference, and the NCAA.
• Support the full academic and social development of student-athletes.
• Deliver a quality student-athlete experience.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 4 years of experience as a Division I tennis coach, professional tennis coach, or professional tennis playing experience (WTA/ATP).
• Knowledge of NCAA rules and interpretations, with the ability to successfully pass the annual NCAA Recruiting exam.
• Ability to work effectively with faculty, staff, and students from diverse backgrounds.
• Demonstrated dedication to the full academic and social development of student-athletes.

Preferred Qualifications

• Affiliation with a Division I, highly successful elite women’s or men's tennis program.
• Proven significant skill development of student-athletes both individually and collectively.

Skills

• Effective communication.
• Understanding of NCAA rules and regulations.
• Ability to foster a quality student-athlete experience.
