About the Role
The University of Connecticut is accepting applications and nominations for a full-time Assistant Women's Soccer Coach position.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assisting the Head Women's Soccer Coach in planning and organizing all phases of a Division I women's soccer program
- Evaluation and recruitment of prospective student-athletes
- Overall development of student-athletes
- Game preparation/video analysis
- Marketing and community involvement
- Other administrative duties as assigned by the Head Women's Soccer Coach
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Collegiate coaching experience, including experience in the recruiting process of qualified student-athletes
- Experience in video analysis
- Demonstrated working knowledge of the correct application of NCAA regulations
- Strong commitment to the academic goals of the University
- Excellent organizational, communication, leadership and public relations skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Division 1 collegiate Goalkeeper playing experience
- Division 1 collegiate Goalkeeper coaching experience
- Experience in the preparation of scouting reports
- Experience in developing and implementing individual training plans
- Experience with team operational functions, such as team travel, camps & clinics organization and organization of recruiting visits
- Experience in marketing and community involvement through youth soccer programs
- Experience in the club & HS system in the northeast that demonstrates strong club/HS relationships
- Possesses coaching and student-athlete development philosophies consistent with those of the Division of Athletics and its soccer program
