Assistant Vice Provost for Faculty Development
About the role
The Assistant Vice Provost advises senior leadership on faculty development, engagement, and retention, and aligns institutional efforts with emerging trends and best practices at peer R1 institutions. Reporting directly to the Senior Vice Provost for Faculty Excellence, you will directly support faculty success at NC State University. Additionally, you will work collaboratively across colleges and administrative units to design, implement, and assess initiatives that support faculty across the full career lifecycle.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement faculty development programs and initiatives for all faculty tracks and career stages.
Serve as the primary OFE leadership contact for the Campus Writing and Speaking Program.
Manage special projects and other relevant duties as assigned by the Senior Vice Provost.
Qualifications
Doctorate degree
Demonstrated experience in faculty development, academic administration, or a closely related area within higher education
Minimum of five years of progressively responsible leadership experience in a college or university setting
Strong record of designing, implementing, and assessing programs that support faculty success and well-being
