Duties & Responsibilities
- Design and Architect a scalable, resilient technology ecosystem that powers the next stage of growth.
- Develop a transformation roadmap and strategy, focusing on integration, automation, process reengineering, and reuse.
- Oversee the portfolio of Enterprise Solutions applications, ensuring strategic alignment, lifecycle management, and optimization to support global business needs.
- Define and champion the API strategy and platform architecture to enable capability reuse across the portfolio.
- Establish architecture governance practices (reference architectures, decision records, and fitness functions) to ensure consistency at scale.
- Lead build vs. buy evaluations and recommendations.
- Provide regular updates to senior leadership, translating complex technical information into actionable insights.
- Gain deep knowledge of BHSI’s technology landscape, including international requirements, multi-currency, and regulatory complexities.
- Lead and motivate cross-functional, multi-disciplinary, globally distributed teams, including vendor partners, with a focus on achieving outcomes.
- Drive change management and adoption strategies to ensure successful implementation of new technologies.
- Collaborate with all key stakeholders to align technology initiatives with BHSI’s long-term goals, assume positive intent, and exhibit a growth mindset.
- Identify and remediate technical debt and vulnerabilities to reduce risk and maintain system reliability.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators for finance technology initiatives, ensuring continuous improvement and measurable impact.
- Drive application portfolio rationalization and lifecycle planning to maximize value and reduce complexity.
- Maintain and optimize existing finance applications, tools, and platforms to ensure security, reliability, and availability.
- Evaluate and integrate AI/ML capabilities to accelerate modernization, automate workflows, and enhance decision-making.
Qualifications, Skills And Experience
- 15+ years of progressive experience in engineering and architecture, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role managing architecture direction for a large application portfolio.
- Deep technical knowledge across application, data, security, integration, and infrastructure domains.
- Deep expertise in the Microsoft stack and Azure.
- Demonstrated success leading large-scale technology transformations.
- Deep expertise with modern architecture patterns, including event-driven, API-first, cloud-native, and composable architectures.
- Understanding of AI/GenAI integration patterns and their application to enterprise modernization.
- Experience with estimation, budgeting, and cost management for technology initiatives.
- High ownership mindset, demonstrating accountability, delivery focus, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
- Exceptional collaborator with a bias for action and a role up the sleeve mindset.
- Strong data-driven mindset, leveraging analytics for decision-making, performance measurement, and continuous improvement.

- Prior experience in insurance or financial services industry is a plus.
