Position Summary
KKR seeks to recruit an Assistant Vice President overseeing the Investment Operations teams that support KKR Insurance’s $80B real estate portfolio, which includes commercial mortgages, residential mortgages, commercial real estate equity, and residential equity. The ideal candidate will excel at multi-tasking under pressure with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities
- Oversee Sr. analysts and analysts responsible for asset set up for new securities and structured transactions – coordinate with Portfolio Management team to (i) understand new structures and (ii) build-out infrastructure to support new structures in KKR’s Investment Management Platforms (LMS, Geneva, etc)
- Set up SPVs to hold assets and facilitate internal securitization of asset cashflows.
- Inclusive of settlement of loans/assets, onward participation of loans/assets across KKR Portfolios – coordination with Legal and custody banks.
- Oversee Sr. analysts and analysts responsible for funding and settlement of all deal flow.
- Oversee Sr. analysts and analysts responsible for ongoing asset lifecycle management (Principal and Interest Remittances, Pay-downs, Pay-offs, coupon updates, factor updates, etc.).
- Review cash and asset movement across KKR custody and trust banks and accounts related to Investment Activity (trades, transfers, etc.).
- Interface and manage the relationship with third party servicers (loan servicers, asset managers, Federal Home Loan Banks, Custodian Banks, etc.)
- Cook up above activities with Investment Accounting, Investment Controls, Risk, Asset Allocation, Investment Origination , etc. – inclusive of interfaces with ancillary platforms/systems
- Identify processes enhancements and develop an implementation program.
- Supervise, train, and mentor direct FTEs supporting the above
Qualifications
- 6-10 years' experience in general investment operations, ideally in a middle office or other transaction-facing role
- Prior experience in private credit or equity deal funding
- Knowledge of credit investments, particularly bank loans or real estate
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- High level of attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multi-task, and oversee a high volume of work
- Strong work ethic with the ability to quickly grasp key concepts
