Assistant Track Coaches

About the role

Valley Catholic School is seeking Assistant Track Coaches with experience in throws, sprints and mid-distance who are committed to educating student athletes from diverse backgrounds in a Catholic community; challenging each individual to live as a Catholic witness in service to others. Valley Catholic believes that the program of interscholastic athletics is an integral part of the total educational structure. SSMO Sponsored Ministries encourage people from all backgrounds, communities, and industries to apply. This is a non‑management, independent contractor position.

Responsibilities

• Instruct athletes in the fundamental skills, strategy, and physical training necessary for them to realize a degree of individual and team success.
• Provide instruction that will lead to the formulation of moral values, strong work ethic, faith, responsibility, teamwork, sportsmanship, self‑discipline, leadership, and self‑confidence.

Requirements

• ASEP/NFHS and Coaching Certifications (including First Aid/CPR and Bloodborne Pathogen) as well as all Archdiocesan required training and certifications.
• Knowledge of technical aspects of the assigned sport and willingness to continue to learn and examine new ideas pertinent to coaching and the assigned sport.
• Ability to verify identity, employment authorization, complete a background check, and complete a fingerprint check.
