Responsibilities

• Support the Lead Teacher in planning and implementing engaging, age-appropriate curriculum
• Nurture each child’s emotional, social, and cognitive development
• Engage with children during learning, play, and transitions
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment
• Build positive relationships with families and communicate regularly
• Collaborate with other teachers and school leaders to ensure excellence in every classroom

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (required)
• 1+ year of experience working with children ages 6 weeks–5 years (preferred)
• Passion for early childhood education and a joyful, caring attitude
• Meets all Colorado state licensing requirements for early childhood staff
• Reliable and professional with consistent attendance
• Ability to build positive relationships and communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members
• Maintains composure and professionalism during stressful situations or unexpected challenges
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. to ensure child safety, facilitate programs, and respond to emergencies (Infant and Young Toddler Teachers must safely lift infants in/out of cribs and perform caregiving duties)
• Remains alert and engaged while supervising children at all times
• Passes background check and fingerprinting per Colorado state licensing regulations
• Completes required pre-service, onboarding, and annual training hours
• Adheres to all health, safety, and sanitation standards
