Assistant Tennis Coach, Part-time

The Assistant Women's Tennis Coach supports the Head Coach in the operation of the Meredith College tennis program. This position works closely with the Head Coach to provide a positive, competitive, and student-centered experience for our student-athletes while upholding the mission and values of Meredith College, NCAA Division III, and the USA South Athletic Conference. The assistant coach is expected to be actively involved in coaching, recruiting, game preparation, student-athlete development, and program operations. This position is part-time, less than 20 hours per week and 10 months (position runs from August to May each year). Essential Duties And Responsibilities Coaching & Player Development Assist with the planning and implementation of training sessions and practice plans. Attend and actively coach at team practices, competitions, and team activities as assigned. Assist with in-game coaching and post-game evaluation. Provide skill instruction and individual player development. Recruiting Assist with recruiting efforts for the tennis program. Program Administration Serve as a driver for team travel when needed. Help coordinate team events. Compliance & Professional Expectations Maintain knowledge of and comply with NCAA Division III, USA South Athletic Conference, and Meredith College policies and procedures. Complete all required NCAA and institutional compliance education. Qualifications Bachelor's degree required. Previous playing or coaching experience in tennis required. Valid North Carolina driver's license with a clear driving history required. Ability to travel to all away contests required. Commitment to the NCAA Division III philosophy and its rules and regulations required. Required Documents Resume
