About the role

O’Quinn Schools is seeking dedicated Assistant Teachers for both James Island and Mount Pleasant campuses for the 2026-27 academic year. This role involves supporting teachers in the classroom, assisting with lesson planning, and providing a nurturing environment for students.

Responsibilities

• Support teachers in the classroom
• Aid in lesson planning and preparation
• Provide a safe and engaging learning environment
• Assist with student behavior management
• Participate in professional development activities

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field
• Experience working with children
• Valid South Carolina teaching certificate
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work flexible hours including mornings, afternoons, and evenings

Qualifications

• Pass a background check
• Pass a drug screening
• Pass a criminal history check

Skills
