About the role
Arkansas Early Learning (AEL) is seeking a Head Start Assistant Teacher to ensure comprehensive Head Start services are provided to children and families enrolled in the program. This position will utilize the Center environment to assist staff with creating rich learning opportunities that build on daily routines and support each child’s development and education.
Responsibilities
- Assist in implementing a transformational learning curriculum for children from 6 weeks old through Pre-K
- Create and support rich learning opportunities that align with daily routines
- Collaborate with staff to foster each child’s social competency and educational growth
- Contribute to a loving, caring, and safe childcare environment
Requirements
- 18 years of age or older
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Current Pre-K Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or willingness to obtain one at no cost within 2 years
- Enrolled in a program leading to an Associate or Baccalaureate degree in Early Childhood Education
