Assistant Teacher - Little Flyers Child Care Center

About the role

The Assistant Teacher will support the Lead Teacher in creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment for children. This position is ideal for individuals passionate about early childhood education and committed to fostering the social, emotional, and cognitive development of young children.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and implementing daily lesson plans aligned with curriculum goals
• Support the Lead Teacher in managing classroom activities and routines
• Provide individualized attention to children to address their developmental needs
• Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment
• Collaborate with other staff members to ensure the smooth operation of the center

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
• At least one year of relevant experience in early childhood education
• Current CPR and First Aid certification
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends

Qualifications

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well with children and adults
• Experience with child safety and health practices

Skills

• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
• Proficiency in using technology for educational purposes
