About the role
We are currently seeking an Assistant Montessori Teacher to join our dedicated team at Cadence Education. Our mission is to create bright futures for children, families, employees, and our communities through a collaborative and supportive environment.
Responsibilities
- Play a supporting role in the classroom under the direction of trained Montessori teachers and work alongside a team of teachers.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and tidy classroom environment in accordance with Montessori philosophy.
- Provide basic care and active supervision of young children as needed.
- Engage in positive redirection to children and maintain a positive learning environment.
- Communicate with parents as needed on routine matters regarding the health and care of students.
Requirements
- Minimum Required: CDA or Associate’s Degree, or some college coursework.
- At least 18 years of age.
- Prior experience in childcare, daycare, or early childhood education is preferred.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Human Development) is preferred.
Skills
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to maintain a positive and nurturing environment
- Basic knowledge of Montessori philosophy and practices
