About the role
Arkansas Early Learning (AEL) is a non-profit organization dedicated to serving vulnerable children and families in Arkansas through Early Head Start and Head Start programs. We provide free educational childcare and daycare programs, along with various child and family support services.
Responsibilities
- Ensure comprehensive Head Start services are provided to enrolled children and families.
- Create rich learning opportunities within the Center environment to support each child's development and education.
- Work full-time 9 months of the year, with a 4-month furlough period from May to August.
Requirements
- Age 18 or older
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Current Pre-K CDA or willing to obtain through our program within 2 years
- Enrolled in a program leading to an Associate or Baccalaureate in Early Childhood Education

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to create engaging and supportive learning environments
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices
