Assistant Teacher

Utah Community Action is excited to announce an opening for an Assistant Teacher position in the Salt Lake area.

About the role

As an Assistant Teacher, you will collaborate effectively with your classroom team to deliver high-quality services to children and families. You will be responsible for the safety, supervision, and engaging activities of preschool-age children assigned to your care.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with classroom team to deliver high-quality services to children and families
• Ensure safety and supervision of preschool-age children
• Facilitate engaging activities for children

Requirements

• Preschool CDA (Child Development Associate) credential
• One year of related experience in a classroom setting
• Valid driver's license

Preferred Qualifications

• Two years of related experience
• Previous Head Start experience
• Bilingual in languages spoken by families served by UCA

Pay

$20.19/hour

Schedule

• Year-round, full-time position
• 40 hours per week
• Typical schedule: 7:45 am to 4:15 pm
