Assistant Teacher

About the role

We're looking for someone who:

• Has previous experience working with young preschool-age children in a daycare or child care center
• Enjoys working on a growing, supportive team
• Provides personalized care and support to students
• Helps children build confidence, social skills, and independence through play
• Is excited to learn and grow within a communicative, collaborative environment

Responsibilities

• Supports the Lead Teacher in planning and implementing daily activities
• Assists in maintaining a safe and healthy learning environment
• Observes and documents student progress and behavior
• Communicates regularly with parents about their child's development
• Participates in team meetings and professional development sessions

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
• Experience working with young children in a licensed child care setting
• A nurturing approach that supports children as they lead their own learning through play
• Comfort collaborating with Lead Teachers and other classroom staff
• Comfort with positive classroom management techniques
