About the role
The Goddard School seeks an enthusiastic and dedicated Early Childhood Educator to assist the Lead Teacher in implementing age-appropriate lesson plans, supporting children’s development, and maintaining a safe, engaging environment.
Responsibilities
- Absorb and implement age-appropriate lesson plans
- Engage children in social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development activities
- Prepare and maintain classroom materials and ensure a clean, safe space
- Supervise children, providing individualized support and fostering a sense of community
- Communicate regularly with parents about their child’s progress and daily activities
- Adhere to health and safety guidelines and regulatory standards
- Support daily care routines and promote a nurturing atmosphere
Requirements
- High school diploma required; associate or bachelor's in Early Childhood Education preferred
- Previous experience working with young children in a licensed childcare or preschool setting
- Show empathy and compassion for young children
- Work productively without direct supervision
- Basic understanding of child development
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with child handling

- Pass required state background checks and meet state education, experience, and credential requirements

Schedule
Hours may vary based on the needs of the school, but typically range from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
Pay
Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
