Assistant Teacher

Responsibilities

• Greet each child by name and acknowledge parents during drop off and pick up times daily.
• Ensure the safety of each child.
• Maintain confidentiality of school directives, curriculum, and software.
• Read, understand, and implement all policies and procedures of The Gardner School and all State Licensing Agencies.
• Maintain professional and positive relationships with parents and coworkers.
• Advise the Director or Assistant Director of any supplies needed for the upcoming months.
• Follow the standards set forth for the conduct and responsibilities of all staff members who come in contact with children.

Qualifications

• One year of professional experience.
• Must love working with children and have a loving and nurturing personality.
• BS or BA degree in Elementary Education, Early Childhood Education, or a related degree preferred.
• Eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Skills

• Excellent communication skills, including personal face-to-face communications with parents, staff, and children.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Computer literacy and intermediate PC skills.
• Possess a valid driver’s license.

Pay

The anticipated pay range for this position is $15.30 – $20.70 per hour. The actual starting rate will be based on skills, experience, and qualifications.
