Assistant Teacher

About the role

Growing Up at Obici Childcare Center is seeking a Temporary Assistant Teacher - Full Time. The Assistant Teacher supports the Teachers and managers by creating a caring and safe environment for the children and assisting in activities to enhance the overall care and quality of education.

Responsibilities

• Support the Teachers and managers in creating a caring and safe environment for the children.
• Assist in activities to improve the overall care and quality of education.
• Communicate, listen, and work well with others in a team environment.
• Implement a quality-learning program.
• Develop positive relationships with the children and their parents.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent (Required)
• College level course work in early childhood education, child development, elementary education, psychology, or completion of Child Development Associate Credential (CDA) (Preferred)
• First Aid and CPR certification required within the first 30 days of employment.
• Food Handlers Certificate required within the first 90 days of employment.
• One year previous childcare experience (Required)

Qualifications

• College level course work in early childhood education, child development, elementary education, psychology, or completion of Child Development Associate Credential (CDA) (Preferred)

Skills

• Ability to communicate, listen, and work well with others in a team environment.
• Knowledge of early childhood education, child development, elementary education, psychology, or completion of Child Development Associate Credential (CDA).
• First Aid and CPR certification.
• Food Handlers Certificate.
• One year previous childcare experience.
