Assistant Teacher

About the role

Saint John the Baptist Catholic School in Jordan is seeking a caring, dependable, and faith-filled Assistant Teacher to work 2 hours each school day in the mornings with 2nd and 3rd grade students during the 2026–2027 school year. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children while partnering closely with lead teacher Jennifer Klecker in a joyful Catholic school environment.

The Assistant Teacher will help students with reading, writing, math, classroom activities, and other academic support throughout the morning.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with reading, writing, and math
• Support classroom activities and provide academic help

Requirements

• Must be a practicing Catholic
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English
• Must be able to take direction and also problem solve independently
• Must be reliable, punctual, and professional
• Must be able to sit and stand throughout the school day
• Must be able to pass a background check
