Grand Avenue Preschool and Daycare in Western Springs is a licensed childcare center seeking Assistant Teachers to support our Preschool age classroom!
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to pass all background checks
- Previous childcare experience
Schedule
- Monday – Friday
- Full-time
- 8:30 am – 5:30 pm
Pay
- $18 – $19/hour, based on education and experience

Responsibilities
- Assist the lead teacher with all aspects of the classroom in a manner consistent with the center’s philosophy and goals
- Implement activities that encourage each child’s growth in emotion, social, cognitive, creative, and physical development
- Take direction, accept constructive criticism and feedback, and make improvements for the betterment of program quality
- Create and maintain a clean and safe environment for all children
- Establish a professional rapport with each family to provide quality care
- Meet physical demands: sitting, standing, walking, running, climbing stairs, lifting and carrying up to 40 lbs.
