Assistant Teacher

About the role

Green Meadows Preschool in Columbia, MO is seeking an energetic and nurturing Assistant Teacher to join their team in the Infant and Preschool Classroom.

Responsibilities

• Support the Lead Teacher in creating a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment for infants and preschoolers.
• Implement developmentally appropriate curriculum that fosters learning through play and exploration.
• Collaborate with other teachers and staff to plan and implement group activities and lessons.
• Assist in daily routines such as meal times, naps, and transitions between activities.
• Maintain a clean and organized classroom space.
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about their child's progress and needs.

Requirements

• A High School Diploma or GED.
• At least 18 years of age.
• The ability to pass all background checks.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in a childcare setting is preferred but not required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Positive attitude and enthusiasm for early childhood education.

Pay

$15.50-$16.75 per hour, based on education and experience.

Schedule

Monday - Friday, Full Time, 8:45am-5:45pm.
