About the Role
As an Assistant Childcare Teacher at Chroma Early Learning Academy, you will collaborate with lead teachers to create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment that fosters young children's social, emotional, and cognitive development. Your role will involve helping to implement age-appropriate activities, ensuring the well-being and supervision of all children, and maintaining a clean and organized space. Effective communication with staff and families is essential in this role. Duties
- Support the Lead Teacher in providing daily care to children in the classroom and ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and engaging classroom environment that adheres to Georgia DECAL and Quality Rated standards.
- Assist in the implementation of a curriculum that promotes sensory exploration, early communication, and gross motor development.
- Monitor and document developmental milestones, and regularly communicate with families.
- Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines related to licensing and program compliance.
- Participate actively in staff meetings, professional development, and required training for Quality Rated compliance.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age
- High school diploma or GED Required
- Ability to Pass a Background Check
- Ability to meet all requirements under Georgia's Bright from the Start and Quality Rated guidelines.
- Reliable, team-oriented, and committed to continuous learning.
- Passion for early childhood education and the social-emotional well-being of young children.
- Current CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire).
Preferred Qualifications
- In progress, or willingness to obtain CDA, TCC, or paraprofessional, with one year of teaching or childcare experience preferred.
