Assistant Teacher

About This Role

Join Chroma Early Learning Academy in Austell, GA as a Assistant Teacher working with Mixed / All Ages. The role calls for a willingness to earn a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential, with employer support and offers $13 – $15/Hr to qualified childcare professionals.

What You'll Do

• Support the Lead Teacher in providing daily care to children in the classroom and ensuring their safety and well-being.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and engaging classroom environment that adheres to Georgia DECAL and Quality Rated standards.
• Assist in the implementation of a curriculum that promotes sensory exploration, early communication, and gross motor development.
• Monitor and document developmental milestones, and regularly communicate with families.
• Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines related to licensing and program compliance.
• Participate actively in staff meetings, professional development, and required training for Quality Rated compliance.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age
• High school diploma or GED Required
• Ability to Pass a Background Check
• Ability to meet all requirements under Georgia’s Bright from the Start and Quality Rated guidelines.
• Reliable, team-oriented, and committed to continuous learning.
• Passion for early childhood education and the social-emotional well-being of young children.
• Current CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire).

Nice to Have

• In progress, or willingness to obtain CDA, TCC, or paraprofessional, with one year of teaching or childcare experience preferred.
