As Assistant Hospitality Manager, you’ll play a key leadership role in bringing this new experience to life—helping shape the tasting room, tours, and overall guest journey that will define BV’s next chapter. This is a unique opportunity to build and develop a hospitality team from the ground up while delivering an elevated, best-in-class wine experience. As a front-line leader, you’ll drive sales, coach your team, and ensure every guest interaction reflects the warmth and excellence of BV. Based on-site in Rutherford, this full-time, exempt role is ideal for a hospitality professional passionate about wine and excited to leave a lasting imprint on one of Napa Valley’s most iconic wineries.

Established in 1900, Beaulieu Vineyard is one of the most historic Napa Valley wineries, setting the standard for quality and innovation in Napa Valley winemaking. Today, Beaulieu Vineyard continues to innovate, utilizing the latest technology in combination with time-honored traditions to produce exceptional Napa Valley Cabernets. As we celebrate our 126th year, 2026 is shaping up to be our best year yet. We are building a completely new hospitality center, scheduled to open July 2026.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the Tasting Room, ensuring exceptional guest service and sales performance
- Onboard and implement comprehensive training programs to enhance sales team performance and product knowledge
- Inspire and motivate team members to achieve and exceed sales targets through strategic guidance and support
- Innovate and expand tour and tastings to meet visitor engagement goals
- Lead onboarding and training programs to build a knowledgeable, guest-focused team
- Manage staffing, scheduling, and performance reviews for up to 20 direct reports
- Develop and implement creative outreach strategies to attract new guests and build lasting relationships
- Serve as Manager on Duty, handling banking, POS operations, and daily logistics
- Ensure compliance with safety, beverage service, and food handling standards
- Support special events and act as an ambassador for the BV brand
Qualifications
- 4+ years of direct-to-consumer sales and/or customer service experience, ideally in wine or hospitality
- Led and coached teams of 15+ employees, driving results and fostering a positive culture
- Confident in sales strategy, wine club conversion, and delivering luxury guest experiences
- Tech-savvy with tools like Shopify, Bloom, Gorgias, TOCK and Microsoft Office
- Strong communicator with excellent organizational skills and a calm, professional demeanor
- Flexible — available to work weekends, holidays, and occasional travel
- Passionate about wine, knowledgeable about Napa Valley, and eager to grow with the company
- At least 21 years old and able to lift up to 40 pounds

Pay
The base pay range offered for this position is $69,000 to $80,500 per year. The actual compensation offered will depend upon numerous job-related factors, including but not limited to candidate qualifications, skills, experience, education, location, and alignment with market data.
