Position Summary
The Assistant Swim Team Coach is responsible for the overall organization, management, and daily operation of the YMCA swim team program. They will assist the Head Swim Coach or Aquatic Director with various branch activities, recruit, train, manage, and evaluate staff and volunteers, supervise facilities, and communicate with swimmers and parents.
Qualifications
- Education or personal experience related to swimming and diving
- Coaching experience with competitive swimming
- Safety training for coaches
- Certified in Lifeguard training
- Adult, child, and infant CPR and Community First Aid
- Able to exhibit a stable temperament and high degree of maturity
- Able to communicate with people of all levels
- Able to have a positive attitude and desire to achieve the mission of the Upper Palmetto YMCA
- Able to perform tasks such as walking, carrying, sitting, hearing, crouching, lifting up to 25 lbs, pushing, kneeling, standing, and speaking
Pay
$10 - $14 per hour
