About the role
Part-time Assistant Swim Team Coach position supporting competitive aquatics at the YMCA.
Responsibilities
- Attend regular practices as scheduled by the Head Coach (approximately 6–10 hours per week).
- Attend YMCA dual meets as needed.
- Assist the Head Coach in planning swim meets and other team activities.
- Perform other duties as directed by the Head Coach.
Qualifications
- Background and knowledge in competitive aquatics.
- Excellent leadership skills.
- Ability to work with and motivate swimmers at practices and meets.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the Head Coach, swimmers, parents, and YMCA staff.
- Current YMCA v6 lifeguard, BLS, BFA, Emergency Oxygen Administration, and other certifications as required.
Pay
Starting wage: $11.00–$12.00 per hour, commensurate with experience.
