About the role
As an Aquatics Assistant Swim Team Coach, you will help Swim Team members improve their swimming in state-of-the-art recreational and lap pools, both indoors and outdoors. You will collaborate with the Head Swim Team Coach to design and lead group workouts, register new participants, and maintain the cleanliness and order of the aquatics facilities.
Responsibilities
- Offers competitive swimmers the opportunity to master technique
- Runs daily practices under the direction of the head coach
- Promotes Life Time products, services, and programs
- Assists with swim team registration and facility upkeep
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1 year of swim coaching experience
- Member of ASCA
- Member of USA Swimming
- Life Time Swim Instructor Certification (successfully completed)
- Ability to work in a stationary position and move about the club for prolonged periods
- Ability to communicate and exchange information with guests about Life Time products and services
- Ability to swim 25 yards/meters without stopping
- Ability to routinely and repetitively bend to lift 20 lbs or less and occasionally lift more than 20 lbs
Certifications
- Lifeguard certification (StarGuard Elite Lifeguard, or bridge to StarGuard within 1st year or when current certification expires)
- BLS CPR and First Aid Certified
- For Canada: Lifesaving Society Lifeguard certification and Standard First Aid with CPR C
- Must complete all job-specific requirements with Life Time Education
Preferred Qualifications
- ASCA Level 1 Certification or higher
