Assistant Supervisor

Responsibilities

  • Assist in directing and managing the Mentors on your shift, recognizing and rewarding exceptional work.
  • Delegate responsibilities to shift members as appropriate.
  • Aid new hires in on-shift orientation using the provided checklist.
  • Inform the team by sharing pertinent events during shift change meetings with the relieving supervisor or night staff.
  • Represent your shift at the weekly interdisciplinary Treatment Team meeting when needed.
  • Conduct safety drills on a quarterly basis as instructed by the Supervisor, ensuring a secure environment.
  • Perform the duties of a Mentor at an exemplary level, leading by example.
  • Execute the program events calendar and be responsible for program coordination.
  • Collaborate with Supervisors, leading Sunday shifts and other periods when they are unavailable, ensuring continuous care for our students.
  • Assist in the distribution of medications, ensuring students receive proper care under the guidance of the Supervisor.
  • Engage with our teen students in various activities, fostering their emotional and social well-being, from cultural outings to outdoor adventures.
  • Nurture the safety and well-being of our students during activities, prioritizing an environment founded on trust and personal growth.
  • Participate in the training and development of our Mentors, empowering them to deliver the highest level of care under the Supervisor's guidance.
  • Be ready to take on other duties as assigned, contributing to the overall success of our team and program.

Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be 21 years old or older.
  • Current driver's license and a good driving record.
  • Pass a Utah State background check.
  • Willing to make an 8-month minimum commitment.
  • Willing to obtain a Food Handlers Permit before the first day of work.
