Assistant Superintendent

About the role

Ironmark Building Co. is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to manage commercial construction projects in the Greater Phoenix area. This position is available in the Tucson area and requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, OSHA 30 certification, and knowledge of local building codes and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Aid in the day-to-day management of project operations, people, and processes
• Apply cost containment, quality control, and risk management skills to ensure timely and cost-effective project completion
• Create and maintain a safe work environment by ensuring compliance with safety regulations
• Supervise on-site construction activities and coordinate with the project Superintendent
• Develop and oversee maintenance of project documentation and paperwork
• Communicate effectively with staff, contractors, vendors, and other stakeholders

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management preferred
• Ability to work on-site in the Tucson area
• Knowledge of local building codes and regulations
• OSHA 30 certification (preferred)
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with a diverse group of workers
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and use of smart phones and tablets
• Passionate about managing commercial construction projects and willing to take initiative
• Valid drivers' license and safe driving record
