About the role
The Assistant Superintendent position at rand* Construction Corporation is open for a dynamic professional looking to join our Alexandria team. This role involves overseeing field staff, ensuring projects adhere to plans and specifications, supervising subcontractors, and managing materials and equipment.
Responsibilities
- Supervise carpenters, laborers, and subcontractors
- Ensure material, tools/equipment, and staff requirements are on-site and ready for work
- Handle daily reports, time sheets, safety reports, and accident reports
- Monitor and direct work schedules according to project requirements
Requirements
- High School Diploma required; two years of college preferred
- Three years of experience in construction or real estate field
- Ability to read and interpret maps, drawings, prints, schematics, and written instructions
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to practice and comprehend safe work procedures as outlined in the company safety policy handbook
- Preferred proficiency in Spanish
- Proficiency with computers and basic Microsoft Office programs
Qualifications
Qualified candidates should possess a high school diploma, three years of relevant construction or real estate experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to follow oral instructions in English. Preferred qualifications include proficiency in Spanish and computer literacy.
