Assistant Store Manager - Spirit

About the role

The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in the staffing, setup, merchandising, pack-up and teardown of a Seasonal Store. They are responsible for supporting the Store Manager in the various tasks involved in the overall operation of a store ensuring maximum sales/profitability by establishing and maintaining Guest Services, developing staff, controlling expenses, shrinkage and all aspects of merchandising and inventory control.

Responsibilities

• Supports the Store Manager in the staffing, setup, merchandising, pack-up and teardown of a Seasonal Store.
• Serves as a point person for the Store Manager in managing the day-to-day operations of the store.
• Ensures compliance with all policies and procedures related to guest services, staff development, expense control, shrinkage, and inventory management.
• Assists in the implementation of new programs such as New Jersey Paid Sick Time, Set-Up and Tear Down Premium Pay Programs, and End of Season Premium Pay Program.
• Manages the store's merchandise displays and inventory control to maximize profitability.
• Works closely with the Store Manager to develop and maintain a positive customer service environment.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• A flexible schedule is required.
• Physical demands include 8+ hours of standing and walking, climbing ladders, setting up fixtures, and lifting/moving up to 50 pounds.
• Prior retail management experience is required.

Pay

Hourly rate ranges from $17.92 - $18.17 per hour and is dependent upon qualifications and experience.
