About the role
The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in the staffing, setup, merchandising, pack-up and teardown of a Seasonal Store. The Assistant Manager is responsible for supporting the Store Manager in the various tasks involved in the overall operation of a store ensuring maximum sales/profitability by establishing and maintaining Guest Services, developing staff, controlling expenses, shrinkage and all aspects of merchandising and inventory control.
Responsibilities
- Supports the Store Manager in the staffing, setup, merchandising, pack-up and teardown of a Seasonal Store.
- Serves as a point of contact for employees regarding questions about their schedules, benefits, and other matters.
- Assists in the development and implementation of training programs for new and existing staff.
- Manages day-to-day operations to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Ensures that all merchandise is displayed in an attractive and organized manner.
- Monitors inventory levels and assists in managing stock levels to minimize shrinkage.
- Works closely with the Store Manager to develop and implement strategies to increase sales and profitability.
- Oversees the maintenance of guest services standards and ensures customer satisfaction.
- Controls expenses by monitoring spending and implementing cost-saving measures.
- Collaborates with other departments to ensure smooth operations and efficient service delivery.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- A flexible schedule is required.
- Physical demands include 8+ hours of standing and walking, climbing ladders, setting up fixtures, and lifting/moving up to 50 pounds.
- Prior retail management experience is required.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in retail management preferred but not required.

Pay
Hourly rate ranges from $17.40 - $17.65 per hour and is dependent upon qualifications and experience.
