About the role
The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in the staffing, setup, merchandising, pack-up and teardown of a Seasonal Store. The Assistant Manager is responsible for supporting the Store Manager in the various tasks involved in the overall operation of a store ensuring maximum sales/profitability by establishing and maintaining Guest Services, developing staff, controlling expenses, shrinkage and all aspects of merchandising and inventory control.
Responsibilities
- Supports the Store Manager in the staffing, setup, merchandising, pack-up and teardown of a Seasonal Store.
- Serves as a point of contact for employees regarding store operations and policies.
- Assists in the development and training of staff to ensure effective performance and customer satisfaction.
- Ensures compliance with store policies and procedures, including guest services and merchandise display standards.
- Manages inventory levels and controls shrinkage to maintain profitability.
- Oversees the set-up and tear down of fixtures and equipment as needed.
- Participates in end-of-season premium pay programs and other bonus programs.
Requirements
- Minimum age requirement of 18 years old.
- A flexible schedule is required due to the physical demands of the job.
- Physical demands include 8+ hours of standing and walking, climbing ladders, setting up fixtures, and lifting/moving up to 50 pounds.
- Prior retail management experience is required.
- Must have prior retail management experience.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities.
- Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of retail operations and merchandising principles.
- Set-Up and Tear Down Premium Pay Programs.
- End of Season Premium Pay Program.
- All Bonus and Pay Programs subject to qualifications.

Hourly rate ranges from $16.75 - $17.25 per hour and is dependent upon qualifications and experience.
