About the role

The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in the staffing, setup, merchandising, pack-up and teardown of a Seasonal Store. The Assistant Manager is responsible for supporting the Store Manager in the various tasks involved in the overall operation of a store ensuring maximum sales/profitability by establishing and maintaining Guest Services, developing staff, controlling expenses, shrinkage and all aspects of merchandising and inventory control.

Responsibilities

  • Supports the Store Manager in the staffing, setup, merchandising, pack-up and teardown of a Seasonal Store.
  • Serves as a point of contact for employees regarding store operations and policies.
  • Assists in the development and training of staff to ensure effective performance and customer satisfaction.
  • Ensures compliance with store policies and procedures, including guest services and merchandise display standards.
  • Manages inventory levels and controls shrinkage to maintain profitability.
  • Oversees the set-up and tear down of fixtures and equipment as needed.
  • Participates in end-of-season premium pay programs and other bonus programs.

Requirements

  • Minimum age requirement of 18 years old.
  • A flexible schedule is required due to the physical demands of the job.
  • Physical demands include 8+ hours of standing and walking, climbing ladders, setting up fixtures, and lifting/moving up to 50 pounds.
  • Prior retail management experience is required.
  • Qualifications

    • Must have prior retail management experience.

    • Knowledge of retail operations and merchandising principles.

    Pay

    Hourly rate ranges from $16.75 - $17.25 per hour and is dependent upon qualifications and experience.
