About the role

The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in the staffing, setup, merchandising, pack-up and teardown of a Seasonal Store. The Assistant Manager is responsible for supporting the Store Manager in the various tasks involved in the overall operation of a store ensuring maximum sales/profitability by establishing and maintaining Guest Services, developing staff, controlling expenses, shrinkage and all aspects of merchandising and inventory control.

Responsibilities

  • Supports the Store Manager in staffing, setup, merchandising, pack-up and teardown of a Seasonal Store.
  • Serves as a point of contact for guests, addressing their needs and concerns.
  • Develops and maintains a positive guest experience through effective communication and service.
  • Ensures compliance with all policies and procedures related to guest services.
  • Assists in the training and development of the store's team members.
  • Manages inventory levels, ensuring accurate counts and minimizing shrinkage.
  • Monitors and controls expenses, implementing cost-saving measures as needed.
  • Oversees the execution of seasonal promotions and special events.
  • Works closely with the Store Manager to achieve store goals and objectives.

Requirements

  • Minimum age requirement of 18 years old.
  • A flexible schedule to accommodate the demands of the job.
  • Physical demands requiring 8+ hours of standing and walking, climbing ladders, setting up fixtures, and lifting/moving up to 50 pounds.
  • Prior retail management experience is required.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of retail operations and customer service principles.
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Pay

Hourly rate ranges from $18.50 - $18.75 per hour and is dependent upon qualifications and experience.
