About the role
The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in the staffing, setup, merchandising, pack-up and teardown of a Seasonal Store. The Assistant Manager is responsible for supporting the Store Manager in the various tasks involved in the overall operation of a store ensuring maximum sales/profitability by establishing and maintaining Guest Services, developing staff, controlling expenses, shrinkage and all aspects of merchandising and inventory control.
Responsibilities
- Supports the Store Manager in staffing, setup, merchandising, pack-up and teardown of a Seasonal Store.
- Serves as a point of contact for guests, addressing their needs and concerns.
- Develops and maintains a positive guest experience through effective communication and service.
- Ensures compliance with all policies and procedures related to guest services.
- Assists in the training and development of the store's team members.
- Manages inventory levels, ensuring accurate counts and minimizing shrinkage.
- Monitors and controls expenses, implementing cost-saving measures as needed.
- Oversees the execution of seasonal promotions and special events.
- Works closely with the Store Manager to achieve store goals and objectives.
Requirements
- Minimum age requirement of 18 years old.
- A flexible schedule to accommodate the demands of the job.
- Physical demands requiring 8+ hours of standing and walking, climbing ladders, setting up fixtures, and lifting/moving up to 50 pounds.
- Prior retail management experience is required.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of retail operations and customer service principles.
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Pay
